Rubeka

I don't really want to grow up and let go of childhood.

Rubeka presents in reverse: antique toys, games, dolls and scale miniatures. Everything here are saleable and limited edition including the furniture. The design here may change daily if the current furniture has been sold out, so it would be replace by new furniture. They sell things in online and this shop as the offline.

Rubeka also present special spot for guest who are celebrating birthday here. Please make a reservation first because one spot only.

At the second floor- Clothes, shoes, accessories are available for sell.

I think even though the washroom is suitable for taking photo as well.

Beside as a exhibition shop, Rubeka also follow the flow of trending - youngsters nowadays would like to dine in a unique place which is every spot are suitable for taking photo. So, how is the food here? Let's check it out!

[Tapai Goreng / Fried Tapai] "Tape" or "Tapai" is a traditional fermented food can be made from a variety of carbohydrate sources, but typically from cassava, white rice, or glutinous rice. These golden ball is fried fermented cassava (tapai) with flour. Every golden ball has a bit alcoholic sweet sour taste. Actually this dish is quite unique, it has been proved that not only fried banana is delicious but fried tapai also could satisfied my appetite. I'd love to dip the golden ball with mayo.
Price: Rp15.000/portion

[Pisang Goreng Keju / Fried Banana with Cheese] Another recommended dish by its owner and the lady boss's favorite as well is fried banana with grated cheese and chocolate. Honestly, almost everywhere are available for this kind of dish. Well the taste are almost same with other place. But the point is how much grated cheese they would like to top on the fried banana. LOL. Anyway, the taste is pretty good. Crispy with much of grated cheese and chocolate!
Price: Rp15.000/portion

[Chicken Mayo] Aha!! One of the favorite. Fried tender meat with well marinated flour made it delicious. To me, it's a bit salty but I like it.
Price: Rp25.000/portion

[Spaghetti BBQ] The portion is big enough but for the taste is average with a bit spicy.
Price: Rp25.000

[Mushroom Pizza] I only could say great! The taste is great.. really great with tomato sauce at the base and sliced mushroom, tomato, onion on the top with mozzarella. Four pieces for one pizza. If grilled a bit longer, it would be tastier.
Price: Rp40.000/portion

[Sweetheart Sunrise] Combination of sweetie red and orange is the sign of sweetheart. The soda and jelly inside make me feel falling in love again.
Price: Rp25.000/glass

[Vietnam Drip] The name is unique, the presentation is unique too, even the taste no need to say also unique. You should come to try it and find out how unique is it. I'm kinda like this.

Price: Rp15.000/glass

[Rubeka Breeze] Breeze then freeze. They made it with own secret recipe. The blue freezing color made it unique. It taste a bit like sweet bubble gum.

Price: Rp25.000/glass

[Coffee Latte] Nowadays, people would like to take photo of coffee latte before drink it. So, do I. Well, this is a kind of art. The taste is great and fragrant.
Price: Rp23.000/cup

Yeahh! So, Mr Ardi and Mrs Bertina are the owner of Rubeka. We had a great chit chat and dinner here. Thank you for invited us. We received a warm hospitality from everyone here.

Pacific Palace's Dimsum Buffet (Batam)

One of the delicious and affordable dimsum buffet in Batam's hotel.

Happy Sunday, people!

Sunday is brunch day.

Here i would like to recommend you one of the affordable dimsum buffet in Batam.

Yeah, it is at Golden Palace Restaurant in Pacific Palace Hotel.

Pacific Palace Hotel is the first hotel in Batam which is offering dimsum buffet on weekend and also the only hotel which is offering dimsum buffet on Saturday night.

But I personally prefer to come here on Sunday morning because more choices of dimsum are available than on Saturday night.

Well, so how about the taste? Let's check it out!

I always take both of it.... and same story always happen.

[Har-Gao] is always good. The prawn is fresh, springy, and the skin is nice and chewy.

I and my friends always take minimum 5 portions of Har-Gao and
gladly we always finished it.

[Char Siew Bao] Basically this should be steamed bun with pork filling but no pork, no lard in here. They change the filling with minced chicken meat. Well the taste is average, nothing special.

I always take a portion of Char Siew Bao.

When my friends saw it, they shaking their head and response,

"You know we don't like Char Siew Bao then why you always take Char Siew Bao since you never finish it by yourself and everytime we are forced to finish it?"

Actually, I'm sorry sisbro!

Because i just can't resist the temptation of Char Siew Bao.

Everytime i only finished half of it and my other 3 friends was forced to settle the rest.

So, this is what we say "brotherhood".

Fried bean, Lo Bak Gor and fried dumpling are always be my favorite all the time.

and must eat the PORRIDGE ok?! yummy to the max!

Hello! They are my brotherhood. Well let me introduce them to you.

My right side is Mr Ruswin Tao (He always take a big portion fried dumplings)

My opposite is Mr Jhon Cristori (He always help to finished the Har-Gao and Char Siew Bao)

My left side is Ms Ryryn Emon Kho (She likes the SiuMai)

and I will always take a portion of Char Siew Bao.

Sorry guys! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Socialite's Crib (Batam)

Hey guys! Do you have any plan for this coming Saturday night? Satnight or Sadnight?

Well if you don't know where to go and you probably want to find a place with a great atmosphere and hear live music, i would like to recommend Socialite's Crib.

Why? because I'd enjoy live performance here by @ItSweetParadise every Saturday night.

And darts game by @phoenix.id.batam also available here.

But how about the food? Let's check it out!

[Satay Kebab] We start the meal with a quite appetizing Satay Kebab.

Just a simply combination of sausage, chicken meat, onion and bell peppers.

Well i love the black pepper sauce.

The black pepper sauce tastes rich and the thickness feels just right.

[Spaghetti Salmon Sauted with Cream Sauce] Creamy Creamy! A lot of grated cheese.

The salmon is pretty good. Overall the taste was average.

[Fish and Chips] Good colour - Golden brown!

Crispy outside, tender inside. The taste is quite plain.

Anyway, applause for the natural flavor and freshness of the fish.

[Seafood Fried Rice] One of cheapest and fullest menu in Socialite's Crib.

Rich combination of rice, shrimp, fishcake, corn, peas, fried egg, tomato, lettuce and crackers.

Overall the taste is quite plain but at least can fulfill my tummy and save my pocket. LOL.

[Spaghetti Tuna Chili] A bit spicy and oily but overall the taste is quite okay. Good Tuna!

[Salmon Salad]

Let's start from appetizer! Good appetizer indeed!

Wasabi, miso, onion, carrot, lettuce, capsicum, tomato, cherry. The onion flavor is quite strong and tasty.

[Spicy Salmon with Pineapple]

Another new creation appetizer from Kaiten Sushi.

Good combination of salmon belly, pineapple, onion and spicy sauce.

Sour and spicy in one.

Price: Rp 43.800

[Salmon Sashimi]

Good sashimi! I have to tell you that this salmon is amazing (high marks for freshness, taste and presentation). Its texture is smooth such that your teeth gradually sink in to release all that juicy heaven.

[Spicy Salmon Belly Maki]

This sushi I had was utterly delicious. With spicy Mayo as topping, give an easy melted in the mouth experience. The key to this sushi lies in its filling, great combination of fresh salmon belly and tanluki - crispy crispy crispy.. Just like tempura. The taste of each sushi was very good. You can feel each individual grain of rice with hint of the wasabi vinegar just awesome.

[Salmon Mentaiko Mozzarella Maki]

A great combination of grilled salmon and mentaiko sauce on the top, Inside the sushi was surprisingly -- melted fried mozzarella and mayonnaise as dressing.

If you are mozzarella lovers, you should try this at least once, just because it's so different and unique in taste. Delicious!
