Kaiten Sushi (Batam)

Hi Hi ! Here i had free dinner at Kaiten Sushi.

[Salmon Salad]
 Let's start from appetizer! Good appetizer indeed!
  Wasabi, miso, onion, carrot, lettuce, capsicum, tomato, cherry. The onion flavor is quite strong and tasty.

[Spicy Salmon with Pineapple]

Another new creation appetizer from Kaiten Sushi. 
Good combination of salmon belly, pineapple, onion and spicy sauce. 
Sour and spicy in one.

[Salmon Sashimi]

Good sashimi! I have to tell you that this salmon is amazing (high marks for freshness, taste and presentation). Its texture is smooth such that your teeth gradually sink in to release all that juicy heaven.

[Spicy Salmon Belly Maki]

This sushi I had was utterly delicious. With spicy Mayo as topping, give an easy melted in the mouth experience. The key to this sushi lies in its filling, great combination of fresh salmon belly and tanluki - crispy crispy crispy.. Just like tempura. The taste of each sushi was very good. You can feel each individual grain of rice with hint of the wasabi vinegar just awesome.

[Salmon Mentaiko Mozzarella Maki]


A great combination of grilled salmon and mentaiko sauce on the top, Inside the sushi was surprisingly -- melted fried mozzarella and mayonnaise as dressing.

 If you are mozzarella lovers, you should try this at least once, just because it's so different and unique in taste. Delicious!

[Kaiten Tropical Maki]

All is about fruits..fruits..fruits..and fruits. 

Mango,strawberry and mayonnaise on the top. Pineapple, carrot, cucumber inside. 

The taste is a little sour and quite appetizing.

[Spicy Beef Rainbow]
I like this menu so much. This sushi is tasty with good salty. 
End of the bite, you will taste a bit spicy.

 The decor is minimalist but not pretentious.  Japanese atmosphere. 

The service here can't be beat. The service was warm, attentive and friendly. 
My friend and I left full and extremely satisfied.

Ayam Bakar Bu De



Deliciously tender barbecued chicken



  after few minutes.... turn a little burnt.. ready to serve.


 Here are the marinated chicken, beancurd (tahu) , tempeh, etc

 Draaaaaanggg! After wait some time, here is the ayam bakar. 
Great saucy barbecued chicken! 

Flavourful chicken covered in sweet soy sauce and barbecue sauce.

I ordered chicken breast, the texture is not hard at all but very tender and moist. 

The moist bring enthusiastic compliments from my mom and sister.

But if you are chili lover, you may a lil disappointed to their chili sauce because it's not very spicy - just so so only. 

Delicious!

Cooking Class Week-1



I join cooking class again after my last class was 5 months ago. Totally new chef teacher, new kitchen and new equipment.








[Marinated spring chicken]  We use 300gr spring chicken and marinate with oregano, thyme, rosemary, S&, and yellow mustard. Because we use yellow mustard that’s the outside is yellow.



Grill the marinated spring chicken. Sluuuurrppp- look tasty.

  

Preparing ingredients for make rica-rica sauce. 


Here is the rica-rica sauce for dressing – raw, no cook. There are sliced red chili, garlic, tomato, shallot, lemongrass, lime leaves, S&P and plus salad oil.  



[Fried Rice] – red rice, red chili, and basil leave.


Hey! This is me! Cut the grilled spring chicken for plating.




He is my chef. He is kind and easygoing. He like to say,”good!” 


Drrrraaang! This is Grilled Herb Spring Chicken. Delicious! The key to this dish lies in its spring chicken texture- tender, well done and good marinated. I like the rica-rica sauce, the natural flavors from red chili, garlic, tomato, shallot, lemongrass and lime leaves complement each other extremely delicious. As for the fried rice is quite good but nothing special. Good!
